Has anyone visited/heard any additional information about the Bearwallow Trail System (part of the Hatfield & McCoy system).
Hatfield & McCoy ATV & UTV Trails - Bearwallow ATV Trail Riding Trails Heaven
In the past, this was for ATVs only. It just opened to full-size 4x4 rigs on March 25. Our club, CNC 4x4, is planning a trip in August. Just wanted to see if anyone had any info about these trails. I reached out to the Hatfield & McCoy visitor office. They were a wealth of knowledge, "Yes, it is now open to 4x4 trucks."

Thanks-

I'm curious as well. There is a YouTube channel from the guy that was a part of getting Ivy Branch open. I think its 1 Ton Swamper Productions. I also asked him about a week ago and he didn't have any videos or pictures yet. If its anything like Ivy Branch it'll be a great set of trails.

From Hardline:

Highcountryoffroad.com those guys have been helping to cut trails and Jbain on there is very knowledgeable on it. They're saying it's gonna be tougher than Ivy which is exciting. Ivy was the first place I went rock crawling about 6 years ago and is still one of my favorite places to ride. The traction there is amazing and can make anybody look like a pro. They say Bearwallow is very similar.

Havent been, but some of the guys i work with have ridden four wheelers up there and they said there is quite a bit of rock, but that alot of it as sharp, tire cutting rocks. Id like to check it out sometime as im not too awful far from there

It's Hatfield and McCoys first trail system and whats been there is very ez. With the closing of IVY and Bear Wallow on the decline they decided to give us a days pass to check it out last fall. We've only explored 1/3 or less of the 5,500 acres and it's got a lot of potencial. I'll see If I can get Jerry over here to post some info and pics, he's been in there multiple times and has been scouting and opening up some great trails.

There's a lot of information at Highcountryoffroad.org

Always great when the community is welcoming to offroaders- From jbain on highcountry, "Bearwallow is shaping up to be a great park. At the Grand Opening I spoke with the Mayor and he wanted me to know that we could drive our rigs to town and get food or gas ect. So just like Evarts you don't have to trailer everywhere. They are also working on a connector trail so in the future people can park at Walmart and hit the trail from there."

Hope others will post here as we learn more about this trail system.
