I worked for a company for a while that sold spray in bed liners. Is many people going that route these days or has the trend died out a bit. I haven't been close to the new vehicle sales and related aftermarket sales for awhile now. Been wandering about the current market demands.

What do you guys think about a bedliner type material being used on after market armour for a durable coating. Would this be a turn off to you guys or something usefull?

The liner equipment is something I may be able to afford and keep the work in house so I could control the quality.

discuss freely I need some feed back

Thanks Andrew:beer:

im not the biggest fan of the bed liner on other parts other than the bed of the truck but something i did do is put bed liner on my rock sliders for the grip and protection but i just used a cheap spray can bed liner i dont know about anyone else but i just cant see spending that kind of money but thats just me

x3. especially not on bumpers or armor. I prefer them to be rattle can black for easy touch up after contact with rocks. I do have the inside of my tub lined and I love it, but I wouldn't want it anywhere else

I like it in the bed of the truck and along the lower portion of the body. I wouldnt want it on bumpers or sliders for the same reason cj777 said. My bumpers and sliders are rustoleum flat black for easy touch up.

However, it would look damn good on a mall crawler that dosent have to worry about contact with rocks or trees or winch cable or your buddies truck.

Blaze did my rockers on my toyota a few years ago and I STILL love it!!! Yeah I spray bomb my bumpers and sliders cause after all they are going to get scratched up if your using it!

I have been wanting to get my bed sprayed on the Dodge but ppl are asking too much these days!!

on my trail rig, no, unless its the cheap kind like said before and mainly just on the inside floor....but on my f250 thats the weekend truck/tow rig im wanting to get my lower bumper sprayed because my paint keeps shipping up on it. Ive always liked the looks of it, its a real clean look that you dont have to worry about scratching

thanks for the feed back. I've seriously considered only offering bare metal products for alot of the reasons stated but most customers want a finished surface.

i think for bumpers and armor, powdercoating would be a better option but probly more expensive to get into...

If it is not textured and color matched, I dont mind the bedliner on places other then the bed, esp if its not going to be wheeled hard...

I used spray on bed liner on my skid plate, thinking it would hold up better than regular paint, it didn't.

I do plan on using bedliner in the interior of my jeep.

Interesting fact... the bed of my truck has a drop in liner

I don't like bed liner in a truck bed. I prefer a drop in liner so I can slide stuff in and out.

I do like it on the outside though. It works great to protect quarter panels and such. Even whole cars painted in it isn't bad.

I've owned 2 pickups with it, and I'm fairly certain any future pickup will have it in the bed as well.
Not much of a fan using it on bumpers, and body parts.

I love the myth busters, saw that show too! So anybody want to better secure their post apocalyptic america/zombies are coming family shelter?
