On Friday October 5, 2007, my Jeep was dropped off at the house, ending its two year stay in Charlotte. Overall, I'm pretty happy with most of the work that's been done and look forward to getting it on the road.

After looking at the Before and After photos someone's got to bring up the fact that I paid for the vehicle rather than building it myself. If you're saying that you'd be right. I know my limitations and welding on parts that are critical to the safety myself and anyone else around the Jeep fall well beyond those limits. I went and took the course at the local community college and determined that I should stick to what I know best and hand over the welding to a pro.

Up till now the work that's been done was completed by Andy and the crew at the Carolina Rock Shop. Paint and bodywork were completed by Body Works Plus. I'll go into more detail about whats been done at each shop later, right now it's time for a couple of pics.

It began on October 1, 2005 with a truck full of parts and a rolling shell of a Jeep. I had done my research (not nearly enough) and was ready to get this project underway. My plans included a full width conversion (10 bolts) with rear stretch on 35s, 4.3-4L60E-KluneV-Dana300. Boy oh boy, I had a plan.

I though it was fitting to show the Jeeps current status using the same basic photos as in the before pics. A lot has changed over the past two years. I'll go into more detail later on about how some of the decisions were made for changes to the plan I had. Hopefully, I can share some of the info I've gained through the buildup and keep someone from making the same mistakes I made.
More to follow, I'm tired of typing.
