Bench top lathe

I am looking at the grizzly bench top lathe. 8" x 16" Variable-Speed Lathe | Grizzly Industrial

It states a spindle bore of 0.787

Does that mean I can place a rod of 0.75 into said bore and have it stick out the back?

Yes. For the same amount of money I would get the 9x19. It has a quick change gear box for the thread cutting.
