Anybody here really good with it? Im trying to draw a part that looks something like this:
Front View
('''\_____/''')

Side View

Ive got tons of measurements and dimensions, a coat hanger bent how I want it, reference points, and angles, but I can't seem to put it all together and get the size to come out right.

I got it close using Pickpoints, but its coming out too short and too narrow. I played around with there templates, but they only see to work well with 90 degree angles or less. Any tips?

I've got Bend Tech too and haven't quite got my design skills dialed in with it yet. I think it's going to be a nice piece of software once I get better at moving the idea from my head to the laptop. Sorry I don't have any tips for you, but good luck with that.

I have played with the SE version a little. Which version are you using? What material and size die?

I only have 1.75" with my die set up. Here are a few projects I've done.

did you ever "dial in" your die?

edit: I have had bend-tech for a few years now...I like it, it's a useful piece of equipment

Working with 1.5" .120 wall on a 1.5", 240 deg, 4.5CLR die. Bend-tech Pro. That 4th drawing seem to have similar complexity and angles to what I am trying to do.
I haven't dialed in the die, but I haven't tried to bend the piece yet either, I can't even draw it. I can draw it in Solidworks no problem, but I don't have Bend-tech SW because it is $1500.

Do you have the solid works drawing you can post a screen shot of? The Ascii art isn't conveying much to me. Have you gone through the assembly tutorial in BT yet? It really conveys the ideas behind using the software and made things click for me.

Yeah, the Ascii art isn't translating (keeps eliminating spaces). I haven't actually drawn it in Solidworks, I've just drawn anything else I ever needed in Solidworks. I've watched one of the tutorials, but the bends were simpler and the part was basically 2D.
