I've a work associate who needs some stainless pipe bent, it's 1-1/4" sch10 SS. The part will have (2) 90's and (1) 180deg bend; iirc it will be used on a dock for something.

Does anyone in the mooresville/lake norman area (or nearby) have the capability to do this easily?

Bear in mind, Sch. 10 pipe is measured off the ID, not the OD. Sort of. Anyway, the OD should be around 1.66". Check with a local muffler shop. You might be suprised what they'd bend.

I've got 1-1/4, 1-1/2, and 1-3/4 dies if its of any help.

yeah, I'm aware of the size - I too have a bender with 1.75" die. I would offer, but am concerned that it would deform the pipe more than desirable in a die who's opening is larger than the OD of the tube/pipe

Yup. That was for whomever. Seemed like a couple of people thought a 1.25 die would do the trick. Anyway, I still say call around to muffler shops. A guy at work had one bend up some tube for a cage. 2" .120 wall. They did a great job. The bends were clean and to spec. If they'll handle that, they should be able to handle your stainless. Springback is a bitch with SS, though.

Being that its stainless and for a dock, you might want to consider finding someone with a die made for stainless/aluminum so you don't contaminate the tube. If not, you may have a rusting stainless tube. If it doesn't matter, good deal, if it matters, find a shop that specializes in stainless tube.

I've found a few places in Raleigh that do specialty tube work with super tight CLRs, etc.. I'm sure there are some in Charlotte. Google :)
