I need to make some custom tierod ends.
Using .250 1.5" OD DOM tube. Already have it in 1' chunks.

I need to bend a section that is maybe 5-6" long so it has ~20 deg bend in the middle. Could be either a "kink" or small diameter (1"?) bend.

How might I do this?

I bent 1.5" .250 wall in my bender no problemo. I think I could put a 20 degree bend in 1' of tube.

Rose bud on a torch. strong vise & a long bar to go in the tube for leverage..

take it to a shop with a press break. 5 minutes and you are done and don't have to waste 3 hours heating the damn tube with a torch. you'll need a fair sized torch to heat the metal enough to bend it with a hammer, etc.

hm this route is tempting! IIRC have a press break at work that may work.

The only torch I own is a cheapy propane style. That'd take forever to heat it.
