While at uwharrie this weekend I bent my track bar on my '02 TJ when I hit a unseen rock in a mudhole  . My question is right now I'm just running a BB and am planning on getting a 3.5" lift kit around the end of the summer. So i hate to buy a adjustable trackbar now and then jsut have to replace it here in a couple of months with a longer one. All the ones I can find are for stock height to ~2" of lift then they have them for over 3" of lift. What are the negative effects of driving it like this. The axle shifted to the driver side about an inch when it happened. It drives fine (drove back to Hickory). Steering wheel is about a 1/4 turn off. When we got back to the campground we looked everything over VERY close and it appears that is the only thing that got messed up. None of the brackets or steering linkage seemed to be bent. Thanks in advance for any help

I'd have it aligned or you'll eat up tires, but other than that I can't see a problem with it.

As Greg said, just get an RE1600 adj trackbar and you should be fine with the BB or 3.5". If you need one just let me know, we have them in stock.

Hey man, Nick and Mike said you hit that mudhole pretty hard. You gotta watch out for those mudholes in Uwharrie. They will tear your sh#* up. Thats where I broke my drive shaft last time.

What messed me up was when came the opposite direction, the dirt was built up in front of the rock so you just slid around it, and going from the other way it was just a rock jutting out. I just didnt see it, on the passenger side and it was getting dark. But oh well at least nothing major got bent/broke

Have Andy build you one instead. I use 1.5" od 1/4" wall DOM and RE ends. Then I use a 1 1/8" 8" long bolt with 4" being thread and machined one end done to slide into the tube, cross drilled it and welded, then tapped the other end. Way more adjustment and stronger than RE :D

Not sure. I gotta go back up to hendoville for some work this week. Might come back down to the HKY for the weekend. Mac had his stock sway bar off his XJ so I got that from him and swaped them out this morning, problem solved
