Looking good. Just make sure to set the drivetrain in before you hard weld the link mounts to the chassis. You may be able to move things to adjust for maximum up travel. Glad to see some progress.

Drivetrain is next I just needed to make it roll so I can have my lift back.
I have already decided that im moving the upper mount so I can have longer upper that way the pinion will point up a couple degrees at full droop so the u joints dont bind.
I could have used taller shock towers and that was my fault I was thinking my shocks were 14 inch and they are actually 17 inch.

42 clears by a mile . And I used the 43" lower links from my old cj in the rear and wheelbase is 114.5 at ride height I may adjust the front out anothe half inch .
Talk to me pj you have been here.

The rear is finally working the way it should.
I had a little issue with my rear upper links were going to be right where the np205 was going to land in the chassis so I needed to outboard the uppers so I had considered running straight uppers but I really hated the idea from the beginning and then the towers was not impressed at all with the towers so when I cycled the suspension and it has a stupid amout of roll steer I ditched the uppers and decided to build a truss and start fresh again. I feel much better now and the separation numbers are much better with hardly a measureable amout of rollsteer.
Now im just trying to decide what lower frame mounts I want to use as I have 2 different styles. The center mount works better but the outer mounts match the front link mounts and will look better when its on its lid. And yes the uppers do have 3 different positions at the frame and I have them in the highest setting in the pic just to see if the links hit in a worst case scenario but will most likely be using a lower position.

you would never notice .5" in wheel base. I would adjust only to make drivetrain fit better. Coming along nicely.

I think the drive train is going to work out just fine
I set the rear out a little to make up for the 205 sticking out back their so its currently sitting at 114.5
I still need to move the front mounts but thats no big deal.
I have the hood and cowl narrowed and working on the grill tonight so ill be posting that next.

looks very nice,

what transmission you going to run?
maybe its just the picture but, if you clock the 205 any are you going to have driveshaft issues with the upper over the pumpkin in the front?

I am making the swap back to tons in my old buggy and I have been looking at doing close to the same setup

Looking good man. :driver:
