buddy at work wants a 2" lift for 'stance' on his DD 1999 grand. should he drop the coin for shocks or just get the spacers? he does no wheeling, just too low for him I guess.

high miles get the shocks, otherwise just get the spacers. it also want be a very noticable difference.
i did a 4 inch on a xj recently for a customer and the difference actually just made it look like it should. i've done a bunch of em' and 1-4 inches just always seemed like a waste of time. you'll have just as much appart on the front to do the spacers as you would a 4 inch front lift except for the steering. tell him to save his money and go bigger (the itch and disappointment will most likely lead to more work later)
