I have a 10 and 12 year old who find it hard and time consuming to pump the Crossman 760 and break barrel air rifles I got them a while back. They lean toward the red ryder due to ease of cocking. It is fairly accurate but wondering if you guys have suggestions for a easy to cock and accurate BB gun under 75.00?

Thanks for the help guys, but as mentioned they have break barrel pellet guns and those are just a bit beyond their strength for repeated shooting. I'm leaning towards another red ryder or that pump version (that I had as a child) daisy model 25 I've seen online.

Co2 and switch to pellets? I know this goes against your criteria but maybe someone else who sees this thread will consider it. When I was 13 my dad got me a Chinese undercock pellet gun from a harbor freight tool sale at the local vfw. It was 20 bucks and as accurate at 35 yards as you could ask for. It was .177 and would kill a squirrel no problem. Harbor freight doesn't sell them anymore, but Amazon has them all day under " Chinese pellet gun" for 50$.

Break barrels are hard to be super accurate with. They can be powerful and great for small game hunting but if you want a tack driver you'll need to go with pcp (precharged pneumatic) but they are very expensive and probably a bit overkill for young teens. The best of both worlds is CO2 rifle. They have no recoil and with a decent trigger can drive tacks at 20-30 yds and are much cheaper. I have one of these....
Beeman QB78 | Airgun Depot

It's a bit more than your budget but it'll last for years and will hands down beat anything you can find at bass pro or sporting good stores. They also have a huge aftermarket following so they can be souped up a bunch.

For the money buy a .22 mag or just a good .22 and they can use it later on. I mean for $320 you can have a 22 mag with a scope that is fun for many many years
