So I'm looking for a place that makes up some killer burritos. Not some little mamby pamby ones, but a nice big burrito. Looking for something like brazed beef or chorizo with cilantro, avocado, good salsa, and some good hot sauce.
Not mi pueblo, not moe's, nothing like that. Almost like a gourmet burrito.....

Any ideas?

Your wife??? Make em at home, they are best that way

^^^^What he said, I don't know about burritos but I've made the best soft beef and fish taco's I've ever had using a frying pan or the grill-(favorite)

My place. Anyone who's been out west an had a Del Taco Chicken Rancho burrito would definitely appreciate it.

If you have a grill get some McCormick Mojito Lime marinade and mix it w the lime juice and honey (alternate recipe on package). Use it to marinade anything you want to make burritoes/tacos/fajitas, just cut in strips or fingers before marinating, fish only takes 30 mins. or less I like Mahi, but Catfish would work for fish, beef/chicken an hour or more. Grill that chit and add the rest of whatever you like and enjoy some dam fine eatin. If you have to have a burrito roll it all up in a tortilla and bake it for 5 mins.

Drive around some seedy parts of Greensboro around lunch time until you find the spot with the most Mexicans hanging out. Might not look like a restaurant, don't let that stop you. Walk in like you own the place and order a torta lengua. You'll quit talking this nonsense about "gourmet burritos."

Beef Tongue.....mmmmmmm (homer simpson impression)...
actually never had one, but maybe I should try.

Best tacos ever are beef tongue just like said above. I actually boil the tongue, skin it, and then cook it in the crock pot all day and then in the last hour put a homemade tomato based sauce on it. Serve with cilantro, onion and lime. I won't eat any other tacos now.

Burrito Brothers Mexican Restaurant on N. Fayetteville St. in Asheboro has great burritos. My Favorite is the steak fajita burrito. Well seasoned, they make all their own hot sauces and salsa. Good shtuff. Other than that, the Chicken burritos I make a home with home made pico are killer as well. My wifes favorite thing to eat. It takes a lot a prep to make them but they are great.

My personal favorite is Taco Campana. There's one in Lexington and I've seen them in other cities as well. They have several different styles of Burritos, but I usually order this one because it's cheap.
