Who has the best car battery these days? Newest thread I could find on search was 2+ years old.

My Tundra is going to need one very soon.

I buy reman batteries from Southern Battery in Kernersville... $38 bucks with core return and 1 year warranty.

Probably not what you're looking for... but suits me nicely.

Just bought batteries for my truck ford dealership batteries were cheaper than the parts houses and have 3 year warranty 100 month pro rate

Last new ones I bought came from caterpillar. It can be a little hard to cross the size/group over but I believe they are good batteries. I have a friend who works for them and has talked them up for a long time. He gets excellent battery life on his vehicles and I gave it a try in my 05 Cummins. They also have no core charge and you are actually getting a new battery. The whole core charge thing erks the shit out of me when buying a new battery. I went through this with interstate and they didn't understand why I hand a problem with the whole thing.

I used to but from Autozone, but after switching my Store preference, I've bought from Advance. Never had a problem with either. I Was surprised they other day, seeing an EXIDE battery truck, leaving an Advance store. I didn't think they were supplied by Exide. I've hated Exide for years, after having a Bad experience, plus being told they build their battery's with recycled battery lead. Maybe I was wrong, or they changed. Sears used to have a Great battery, but got to hard to find a Sears, & they kept raising their price.

Most of your parts store house brand "platinum" series batteries are AGMs and made by a bigger name in the battery world...Oddessy, Deka, etc. Just depends if you want an AGM or flooded battery.

walmart batteries. Great warranty and there is a walmart in nearly every town.

O God NO! bought a Toyota with a Dead Walmart battery in it, still under warranty. Walmart replaced that one. It lasted 3 weeks Past warranty. They wouldn't do anything a bought the Second one [3 weeks past], so I went on to Advance. Other batteries, I'v had, have Always gone a Year or more Past the warranty! I'd like to know Who builds Walmart batteries?

I never had issues. Sure there was not a parasitic drain?

Bought a Duracell AGM from Sams Club. Made by same company and looks identical to an Oddessy.

Don't see how. The 2nd. Walmart battery lasted 3 years & 3 weeks. Put my car lawn tractor 650cca battery in Toyota, as it was 3 years old, & bought new battery for tractor. Drove the Toyota 2 more years before selling it. Still going strong a 5 year old Advance 650cca battery. Maybe they had a string of bad batteries, or switched manufacturers.

Just went with an advance auto battery. They had a 20% Labor Day discount. Everybody else was only online, ship to home. Got the same autocraft silver that lasted 7 years.

I had a Walmart battery in one of my old rigs. Somehow it flipped polarity. Fried some stuff. Took me forever to figure it out. Took it back to walmart and demanded a full refund. Guy there said that was impossible. I put a multimeter on it and he didn't argue.
