My ancient flip phone is toast. We've been w Verizon for about 15 yrs. and pretty much content. Any better co./plans service out there?

I travel all over the country for work and I've had a few providers, and Verizon has consistently the best reception everywhere I've been. My coworker has AT&T and has problems sometimes. That's really my benchmark, as that's what's important for my needs.

Verizon.... I left a couple of times thinking a cheaper plan would work for me.... Nope you pay for what you get. Verizon is expensive but worth it IMO

Been with Verizon since my first phone many years ag and have consistently been happy with the service. Im still running an Apple iphone 4. I think i am overdue for a free upgrade, but i hate going to the phone store.

I'm due at the end of this month. Time to start looking at the latest phones and then realize that my needs are simple and anything will work just fine. It's really a matter of finding something that doesn't feel like I stuck a normal size paperback book in my pocket. No one makes small phones anymore, and I don't buy Apple products.

Hands down Verizon. I'm getting a new iPhone Monday. I loved my iPhone, but got away from it last time I upgraded. I regret it horriibly and cant wait to get another. I love the simplicity of the iPhone and the reliability.

Upgrade threw best buy, you still use your Verizon account and upgrade but its a way better deal. They have a better warranty program, and if your not looking for a specific phone you can buy whatever is the best deal at that time. The last time I upgraded I got a phone for free and a 100 dollar gift card to best buy.

Verizon all day. I travel a little for work and it's never let me down. I was on the NC coast working this past month with a buddy. He had sprint and unless he was connected to the hotel wifi he had almost no reception. Hell, I was streaming music and he could barely text.

Thanks to all, looks like we're sticking w Verizon, wife's saying I'll get her newer flip phone while she tries out an Iphone. I don't care as long as I keep my phone #. Only reasons I'd want an iphone are for weather radar, maps/navigation and a better camera/video, but I bet I would destroy it in no time unless I had a bulky, cumbersome case and even then it would only be a matter of time............:(

Another for Verizon. I used to be on Alltel but we switched after AT&T took like 3 years to convert the Alltel phones over. I have had no issues with Verizon over the year or so we've had them. Verizon has has the iPhone.

I will echo Verizon. I was Centel til they became Alltel til they were absorbed by Verizon. Been a customer since 92.
Have had work phones from US Cellular and Sprint and would never use them for personal service.

I've been on verizon since the late 90s I think. Have a work phone that is AT&T. Verizon is consistently better. If you live in a city and never need service elsewhere, any of them a fine. If you want your phone to work out in the sticks, Verizon wins.

This.

The service there is much better than the Verizon store.

I will try Best Buy when i decide to upgrade.

What does everyone think about these bigger phones. I like the idea of a bigger screen, but the pockets in my pants are not bigger, so i am worried it will be annoying. Seems good for women who keep their phone in their purse.

I bought a droid turbo it has a big screen. Buy a cover for it and turn the screen towards your leg it will save your screen 95% of the time if you have something hit your leg hard

I will second that. Was out trail riding quads and broke my screen on my iPhone 6. Don't know if it was the end of the handlebars or what but I had the screen facing outward in my pocket. $200 mistake

As far as phones go, I've been extremely happy with my HTC ONE its not the newest one but it serves me well

S6!!!! Or iPhone 6s, I have both. iPhone is very stable but definitely lacks the goodies, S6 is awsome!!! Lots goodies and (to me) is better for using as a mini computer

The benefit is simple for me. Reliability.

That's the thing, I paid $49 when I got my Moto-X right after it came out, and it's been flawless. Same with my other Motorola phones I had before that. That's why I don't see the benefit to spending so much more. The iPhones are great design, but I just don't care and don't need all the things that make people go batshit for them.

Same with the laptops, you can buy a 15" Mac with a Core i7 processor for $2k (and up) or you can buy a 15" Core i7 Dell with the same specs (and a touch screen) for slightly less than half of that. Sure, the Mac is lighter and a little sleeker, but is it worth an extra $1k+...?
