For anyone who has bought tires lately (especially BFGs), where have you gotten them and what size/price? I'm looking for BFG ATs 315/70R17. Tirerack has them for about $223 plus shipping. The only other one I'd consider is the Toyo Open Country AT but they seem to run a bit higher in price than the BFG.

When i was looking for tires i took all the internet offers to sears and they matched the price. Tire-easy.com has good prices, but if you take that to sears, they will add 9 bucks to whatever price you find... even then you still save money on shipping!

Oh well, too late. I went ahead and ordered through Tirerack.com. The price with shipping was comparable or a bit cheaper. I'll get them mounted either at Fussell Tire or Apex Autowerks.

My experience with Tirerack.com has been good. I've ordered 4 sets of tires thru them for trucks and cars and have yet to be disappointed. When it really works well is when they have a tire that you just can't find locally. I bought some Avon all season performance tires for my wife's care. Awesome tire and for a very reasonable price. Couldn't get locally, but UPS dropped them off 2 days later.

I thought this price was a bit out there, so just for kicks I called my Ears hook up this morning.

Tires only $510

Including tax, mounting and lifetime re balancing and rotations $612

And that is a street price...
