looking a gas motor, 2400 or bigger, 4x4 crew cab new truck for work. simply cant afford the diesel. really like the chevys but Im concerned about the Torsion bar front and the load of the plow. anybody got any ideas as to how to make the fronts live under that load?

I would prob go with a dodge. There gas motors are pretty stought and solid front axel. My work truck is a 15 Chevy 2500 6.0 its disappointing how weak it is

Not helping chuckman, but why is the 15 2500 a 6.0 when you could get the 6.2 in a 1500? And 1500s went to coil front where hd trucks are still torsion bar...

Engine: 6.2 competes with the Duramax really well, GM can't have THAT.
Suspension: The torsion bar IFS is beef under the HD trucks, go look at one.

To OP: My brother plows with his '15 6.0 Chevy 2500HD. It does fine and he ordered it with the snowplow prep package (he lives in NY).
