Near winston preferably, who's got the best prices?

Rear tire is currently a Metezler 160/60/17, but I'd like to get something that would last a little longer. I'd LIKE to take it to a track someday, but I doubt that day will be anytime soon, so for now it will basically be street use only, and I don't get rel crazy w/ it so I don't THINK I need super traction.

What tire would any of you suggest, and where to get tires in general at decent prices, or should I just buy the tires online and get them mounted locally?

Thanks

Steve at motor cycle tire and acc. in Greensboro. Best prices hands down.

Diablo sport. Mine lasted me a season ~6k. Not sure if there is a cycle gear around there... but keep your eyes peeled they run a special on tires every now and then

x2 on Steve Simmons. He's on Bragg St in Greensboro, my wife does the books for them. Someone there can hook you up, I know he's going to have a heart valve replaced soon, may already be in the hospital. NOT related to his 200 mph dump he took on a drag bike a few weeks ago that he came out of without a scratch :)

Pirelli's Diablo Strada should last you a good while. No such thing as a Diablo "sport".

Another guy I know swears upside down and sideways about his Continental Road Attacks, that they grip well and last..and last...and last. And they're cheap.

But don't just say "I have Metzlers".. there are sticky Metz's, and ones that last.

Check with second chance cycles in walkertown. My buddy has been buying his tires there.

Bought them online from DerbyCycles.com Called around locally but couldn't get as good of a price, even after paying shipping.

Total was ~$230 for both tires and shipping, I got the Continental Road Attacks, after reading up a little on them they seem to be a decent tire, guess I will find out soon enough.

Thanks

DerbyCycles is where I get my tires... went w/ PP 2CT's though.. Cheapest hands down of anywhere...

Are you going to put them on yourself? Also what are you riding?

Someone track me down an 08' Fusion White Speed Triple -or- Speed Triple 675... man I want one bad...

nah, i'll have them put on probably, i've heard it's tough to put on cycle tires w/o a machine, never tried though

I have suzuki bandit 600, bought it b/c it was a good 'starter' bike, I would like to have something bigger (or just more powerful) now, but this one runs good and is fun, so I'll stick with it till it falls apart or I am overflowing with money probably.

IF you take the bike to a shop they're going to charge you around $100 to mount/ balance... BUT if you're able to get the bike in the air and take the wheels in they only charge around $20.00/tire.

I put my last set on w/ the HF motorcycle tire changer... took maybe an hour for both tires (including removal and reinstallation)...

I looked at the HF changer, looks like you need the cycle changer which is $52, plus you need the regular tire changer (not sure on price). Then, how do you balance them? Or did you not bother to balance them?

I may just take them to have them changed/balanced, unless you'd want to give me hand changing them sometime next week.

Thanks
