Best place for camper/trailer tires?

I'm going against the current flow by keeping the pop-up. We just got it and I plan on keeping until I get too old/decrepit to set it up.

As far as I can tell, the '90 Coleman has the original tires .... that's 21 yrs., gotta go!

The local monstrous RV center doesn't do tires ( :confused: ) so I gotta find them somewhere.

Yep. I got Tractor to price match Northern when I bought tires for my last pup. If they're bigger tires, though, like a 10" rim, you might have better luck at one of the internet trailer sites.
 
I know it's not close for you, but I got mine at Town and Country tire in Mountain View(suburb of Hickory)
Jason can get about any tire that's out there.
I forget the price, but it was very reasonable. It was the same size as what I had on it, but was a heavier duty tire, more plys, weight rating and could take a higher tire pressure.
 
Northern, Tractor Supply, AgriSupply, Redneck Trailer Supply....

Kinda depends on what you want and how much you're willing to spend, too. AgriSupply and Northern and stuff have tires mounted and ready to go... but they're often cheap off-brand stuff.

I needed spares for the big trailer. Ordered G-rated steel wheels from a place online, then got a pair of BFG Commercials from Discount Tire.
 
what size you looking for ?
I have a pair of 175/80R13 Load Range D RADIAL Kendas on Alloy wheels ( 5x4.5" pattern ) load capacity 1610 per tire @65 PSI they have maybe 200 miles on them before I swapped them out
Bought camper new end of May, 3 trips in Raleigh area, swapped tires and wheels out middle of July

I swapped them out because our camper was too close to tire capacity for me to be comfortable towing long distances.
I went to a 185/82R14 Kumho 857 LR D Radial 1874 lbs capacity per @ 65psi

the other 2 are for sale also ( non matching wheels, same size as above , never on the ground spares, one came with camper, the other I bought as a back up in June before I knew actual camper weight

FWIW, I bought the new tires from Tire Rack, the new wheels ( same as pictured only 14" ) and the spare and wheel I got from etrailer
 
I have an older pop-up with the fatty tires.
250x8.5-10 ( I think).

I guess I'll check the internet sources and the big camper places in G-boro and Statesville.

And I'll also check the other places mentioned.

GreenBall tires, I think Discount tire sells them, or can get them. Another name is Duro

you're probably looking for 20.5x8-10 pretty common tire size I've read the GreenBall's wear well and last compared to Carlisle
 
Skip the cheaply made crap at Northern and the like. Go to a real tire store and pony up for real tires. Since they sit around a lot you need a quality tire that will stand up to the elements. I have used those cheap tires, they wear badly and don't last long. I buy mostly Carlisle brand for trailer tires now.
 
So far, the only place I've actually seen what I need has been at Tractor Supply.
Kendall or something like that.

Camper/boat/& trailer tires are not something tire places advertise, or stock. They'll be sitting in a warehouse. Go to your local tire dist.[if U have 1], like Rides, or Town & Country, & they can hook U up with a Quality tire. Even Carlile has different grades. Can't explain why my first set seemed to break a belt, per tire, per trip. In the 1st year, 1 x 1,I had replaced all 4. But the replacements have been running 6-7 years now. All had the same size & rating. ????????:confused:
