Best place to order pipe?

I'm about to start building some pipe and wood bookcases for my office. zoro.com has 3/4" x 12" pipe for $2.77. McMaster-Carr has it for $5.28.

Just wanted to check if my more mechanically inclined brethren of nc4x4.com has any super secret squirrel websites for ordering this type of thing.

Sounds like something a local plumbing supply should have for a comparable price, but I've also found zoro.com and jet.com to have ridiculously low prices on some mass produced hardware pieces. I would buy it in 10ft or 12ft lengths and just cut and thread what you need. Probably much cheaper that way. But more work too.

That is a lot of $ for 3/4" pipe.

I'd call ferguson, wosley, Dillon supply, etc. I think even HD or Lowes would be cheaper than $2.77/ft. They can even cut and thread it for you at no additional cost

I'll check jet.com and local supply stores.

I didn't know the big box places would cut and thread pipe for no additional cost. I'll check on that as well.

For a 12" double thread nipple that isnt a bad price.

You could also buy a 10' stick for the same price, but if you dont have a thread die, ratchet, or power pony and a pipe vice and no value for your time...
