best snap ring pliers for sye install

I know someone was telling me to grab a certain size/kind. Suggestions before I end up walking to the store for a pair?

I would get the best set available. You will always use them. If it was not for those damn snap rings, the SYE install would be extremely easy.

The main thing is they need to have the wide flat part, to actually PUSH the ring apart, not the little pegs to go into the holes on the rings.
I have two pairs of the wrong type if you want?

But if you do have to get the ones with the pegs make sure you get the biggest beefiest ones you can find. I installed my SYE yesterday and was so frustrated with those d@mn snaprings. Had to take a few breaks to re-group and gather my sanity.

Run down the Mac or Snap-on man and get a good set.You get what you pay for in snapring pliers.Dont get the ones with the changable ends,they wont hold up.

evidently I picked up the perfect pair. Took 2 slips and got them all off/on. They should rename the sye kit to complete pita for 2 hours to get everything off and 45 seconds to actually install.
