who has the best price for a right side arm, drag link, and pitman arm to do crossover on a chevy d60 (not that it matters). the truck i just bought has the nastiest scary steering i have ever seen, and i would like to ditch the 4in raised steering block as soon as possible.

oh yea and thanks so much rob for taking over things. sorry that it had to go down before. hopefully things will work out better this time

Got my crossover arm from Sky Mfg. very nice arm! about 135 bucks. The dropped pitman was for a 78-79 Ford truck app from superlift. about 50 bucks. Made the tierod and draglink from sleeved DOM. I guess you already know about getting the 2wd steering box? ORD has a complete setup as well.

Yeah, I'm using the Sky arm as well. Nice piece.

There are lots of good options out there, tho. I'd suggest looking only at ones that use studs and conical nuts, but that's about it.

what about shakers stuff. heard good and bad, but basically just get what you pay for. yea i already have a 2wd box, PO of the truck had i laying around. what thickness DOM did you use?

I am thinkin it was .188 wall tube... Ended up with a 3/8" wall thickness. I have the huge 7/8 thread 1 ton tie rod ends in them. I have heard more bad than good about Shakers arms.

My Hi-steer arms come from KC4X4, My Drag link and my tie rod are 1" black pipe sleeved with 1 1/4 blck pipe, with weld in bungs. Very beefy and zero problems with 39.5 boggers and hydro-assit pushing on it too. Also pretty economical to build yourself. I have also seen guys use solid rod, having it drilled and tapped to accept either 1 ton ends or heim joints, also very beefy. Designers choice

WFO has some nice pieces as well. Ask for Trevor

^^^^

i second that. run wfo arms on mine, they are very sweet. good customer service also.

i got mine from andy down at carolina rock shop. he is just as cheap as mailordering plus you help the local guy!

i got some parts from wfo at one point. nice guys, a lil expensive though. but nice guys to deal with.

stay away from shakerbuilt, they are cheaper for a reason.

pm me if you want more details.

well i ordered some stuff from WFO today. trevor seems like a good guy, i was really suprised he picked up and talked to me on a sunday. i ordered a passenger side arm, kingpin cap and new studs and nuts from him. said they will be here by the end of the week. will post pics when i get the stuff. so now my question is who can tap DOM/pipe for my DL? and who sells Moog stuff so i can get my TRE's?

Should have just asked Trev :flipoff2: All he needs is the length, but I guess you would need the arm on for the correct measurement.

Call Andy @ CRS he should be able to help ya out.

yea i know trevor can do it, he tried to sell me one. problem is he wanted like $100 for it and shipping would have been more. really i just need some one to tap the tube/pipe for my DL. i found the rest of the parts at AZ.
