best sterring set up for yj with d30

any kits available that will replace draglink and tierod with something heavyduty. but not too pricey

it would be nice to know your current suspension setup.....

but... assuming it's stock, since you didn't state otherwise, i would say stock is perfect for you :)

Hmm

Big Daddy Offroad offers heavy duty stuff that retains the stock configuration. I imagine they offer it for a YJ. Not too bad price wise.

Maybe wait till you get the 44s you are looking to find and do it then. Anything you do for that D30 is a waste of $$ if you are planning to upgrade axles.

Big daddy's stuff is only for the tie rod.

If you want something bolt in look at the Currie setup, I normally keep on in stock. Otherwise, wait till you upgrade the axles and do your steering then

Draglink

They list a YJ draglink.

Yeah

That is weird.

They appear to offer both for the CJ
Only the Drag link for the YJ
Tie Rod for TJ/XJ/ZJ

I wonder if the CJ widetrack tie rod works in the YJ and it is simply an oversight that they don't mention that.

No, the TJ and YJ use a y style steering setup where one link comes in to the other. They only offer the link that is joint to joint.

CJs are completely different than the YJs or TJs

Hmmm

Yeah, I was just noticing that in the Quadratec catalog. Are the knuckles the same? Could you run a CJ setup?

Maybe if you twist Andy's arm he could fab up something like this and drill out your knuckles and pitman arm.

Yup, we build those all the time for YJs.......but he is still asking about putting a set of 44s in this YJ(in another post) so all the linkages would have to be redone when he did that........trying to save him from doubling up costs.

Thanks Noah

Andy

Well he needs to make up his mind doesn't he. LOL

If you are dead-set on the D30, I think Down East Offroad makes a high steer kit, complete with knuckles... but It'd be pretty stupid to do that in my opinion if you can get a D44 and high-steer it for cheaper than the D30 high steer kit itself. But since you asked about the D30...
