I'm close to being in the market for a new mower. Are the best deals at the end of the season (now) or later in the winter by trying to get a leftover prior year model?
Still trying to decide between small tractor, zero turn or stand on model but will search some of the past threads to narrow that one down.

A guy I used to work with would search Craigslist at the beginning of spring for all the yuppy home owners that would buy a new push mower each year because they couldn't get it to crank on the first 2-3 pulls. He would swoop in, buy as many as he could, give it some fresh gas & they'd fire right up...then he'd flip them for half price of new ones. Not sure if that would apply to bigger ones?

I've seen & heard of Lowe's having some good Season ending sales. Sometimes you do better getting with the General Manager, too!
Lurch has a good idea; one I haven't thought of. But will say, I was walking past a Doctors office one day, & there was a New Box on the curb, from a power mower.About time I was looking in it, another guy that cuts grass locally for his living, also walked up. His neighbor told him about the OLD mower in the box. We pulled it out, & it wasn't very old, 2-3 years? Pulled the rope, it spun. Old checked full, & had just a little gas in the tank. That guy pulled the rope & played with the controls, for a couple minutes, & By Golly, it fired off! Poor thing was Flooded. I bet that boy is Still using it!
