So Ive always thought that a trail rig/ streeter is a lot more fun/usable/functional than just a trail rig, Ive always run two sets of tires. 38" / H1 for trail and 37" /H1 for street. well as we know the 37's suck in snow, are hard as nails and quite heavy. Since we are moving up the Mtn this fall, it would be nice to have a smaller tire for towing loaded trailers up the mtn, and better in the snow. Ive picked up some 16" 8 lug wheels and plan on putting on a 35" / 315/75/16 on them. So whats a good all around tire for road/snow/possible plowing. dont care a bout mileage or noise
price is obviously the best value

whatcha recommend

vehicle is a ton'd CJ7

If ya change ya mind on A/T I've switched to the copper stmaxx over ko2 and they are an amazing tire!! For non a/t and all around badass I've ran 3 diff sets of Michelin LTX 285/75/16 in about all terrain and weather you can imagine for 1k or less you can't beat em! Copper at3 is nice but believe it's a a/t as well!?

In my experience there is no such thing as a tire good for snow and mud.

An all terrain tire is by far the best bet to do both decently.

The Goodyear duratracs are the most "aggressive" tires that work well in snow, not so much in mud.

Had 33” duratracs on a grand Cherokee (ZJ) for dd duty to save my TSL’s. They did really well. Drove them summer and through the winter. Was happy all around for the money. As far as aggressive to the same level I just put Toyo ATII on my truck and they are pretty damn meaty for an AT with lots of siping.

I'm running 315 Goodyear Duratracs on my DD. My coworker Jason runs the same size/tire on a diesel Excursion. Excellent ride and just seem to work and hold up forever.

edited OP, guess I was forgetting that I have TSL's for mud. I really need to concentrate on 98% of this vehicles life. I will be in snow and possibly plow with this rig.

I do in fact have a groover/siper in case I need to mod them.

are the duratracs popular because they are cheap and work?

no love for the old grand daddy K02 A/T?

lots of siped surface / biting edges on those guys. boone snow/ice aint no joke yo

I have most of my life ran the bfg a/t tires, and was always happy with them on packed snow and ice. But I tried the duratracs 2 winters ago and they seemed to work slightly better than the bfgs
