Best Tractor

I've got an l5240 with a loader and to be honest if you've got a backhoe that size, you will be disappointed with anything under a 50hp and even then that's a little small. I guess it depends on what you're doing and what kind of deal you can find but I would go with a <55hp on filled ag tires, buy the hoe attachment box blade, bush hog and remote hydraulics and call it a day.

Wow! I guess everyone likes tractors. I figured a tractor with loader would be a good choice as I could ad a hoe, box blade, bush hog... I didn't know the hoe would cause excess wear on the tractor opposed to a frame mounted hoe. Hmmm...now I need to decide between a smaller dedicated backhoe or a tractor with attachments but less longevity.

Buy a $10k skidsteer and an old 35-45hp 2wd tractor for $4000 for pulling bushhogs/tillers/scrape blades. Then rent and excavator or backhoe if you ever need to dig ditches. I use my skidsteer for EVERYTHING. Tractor gets cranked 3-4 times a year, skidsteer gets cranked once or twice a week. Backhoe has sat since I dug the foundation on my house 7 years ago.

Fine by me.

Great, you can pick it up at my place and use it as long as you need. I'll even help you push it on the trailer with the dozer. Once you get the engine turning freely, and the hydraulic leaks fixed it will work pretty good. And i'm half kidding and fully serious.

My buddy Craig. He has this list where he sells stuff.

I know a guy with a bitchin' set of tools.
In all seriousness, if you drive down here and pick it up, and get it running again, it's yours to use for a year for free :D
