I have a '93 YJ with 4 inch springs, 2 inch shackles, and 37" IROKS, it has some wrap as it is, but I live with it ( carefully) for now since I am in the process of gathering all my parts together to swap in a HP kingpin 60 front and LP 60 rear ( full width ) and will be going spring over ( but losing the shackles and locating some lower springs to I'm not taller than I am long lol), si I figure i will address all suspension problems when I get to that part ( the swap ). My question is: what are you guys using for axle wrap that seems to work the best, without limiting flex too bad? Also, if any of you could offer links, or pix of what you got, it would be REAL helpful for me! I am not a newbie, but wanting to learn the CORRECT way and SAFE way of building, after having "rigged" a few trucks in the past, with less than desirable results. Thanx guys!

I tried to put my bar as close to the middle of the Jeep as possible but it still limits flex some. And while it limits flex, its attempting to self destruct! The more rigid, the less flex. It was its best with bushings and not heims.

Heims on the axle end, Rubber bushings on the frame/crossmember end with a shackle near verticle with the flat springs I have... Mounted as close to the middle as possible, usually try to follow the same angle as the driveshaft...

May have to tinker with shackle angles with higher arched springs though....

picture a scale with 1 being least axle wrap/least flex and 10 being most axle wrap and most flex. Pick a number between 1 and 10.

I have no idea, That's whay i posted on here, to try to learn from you guys. I just saw it and wanted to know what you guys throught and if there was something you guys were using that seemed to work better/ easier/ simpler? Wrap bars are a new area to me, so before i start my project and need em, i wanted to pick ya'lls brains till I could COMPLETELY understand all aspects of building one that will work well for me.

I built my own bar. It is solid mounted at the diff and I use 2 heims at the shackle. There is enough movement b/w the shackle forward and back and the heims side to side that I haven't noticed any bind. It definitely hasn't limited the flex. It did eliminate the spring wrap and wheel hop.

ok, figured out the shackle thing. since you have to allow the axle to move front to back, somewhat, same reason to have spline in drive shaft. i think i'll do mine with a stif mount above the diff with a truss type mounting surface and i like the double heim style in the pic above. i've seen some with 2 tubes in a V configuration and some with a single tube. i guess it would help with the leverage on the diff end to have it in a V shape with coming to a point at the frame end.

Mine works good with just bushings all the way around. My XJ springs still flex a lot.
