Im tired of looking at the stains in front of our house on the street at our curb, where my wife parks her jeep....Some of these stains are months old and I want to try and get rid of them if I can. I know the only solution is to get the leak fixed, which is getting ready to happen but I want to clean up the stains that are already there.... you guys have any surefire methods of getting the stains to either lighten up or gone completely from Asphalt?
I just hate looking at it.

I've had good luck using tide powder laundry detergent for oil stains on concrete. Sprinkle it over the stain, rub it in with your boot, lightly wet, let sit while you have a cold beverage, scrub with brush, wash away, repeat as necessary. I would try this before any strong chemicals. Remember anything you use will end up in sewers, streams, and rivers.

ill try that.

I use brake parts cleaner on concrete, not sure about asphalt. seems like it work work alright on newer stains and those that havent soaked in thoroughly. On the deeo stains, I knock dried up mud chunks from my Jeep and sweep it in the concrete, kind of like speedidry

Your best best is to just a pour a whole bunch of really thick, dark oil around, in a giant rectangular shape. About 3'x5'.
That will cover up the smaller stains and make it look like a new "patch" of asphalt...

plus then she can keep parking and leaking on it and nobody will be able to tell.

Brake cleaner will dissolve the binders in asphalt. Best to keep those two well separated.

Tide and dish detergent both work well.
