Currently, my wood stove pipe runs out the back, elbow up 3 feet or so, another elbow towards the wall, through the wall, then on the outside, another elbow up and over roof line.
I am going to get a chimney built, was thinking of running straight out the back, through the wall, and into the chimney.
My question is, which way will be the best for a good draw?
The reason I want to run it straight out the back and into the chimney, and then of course the smoke would go up ad out, is, ease of cleaning.
so those of you who have experience, your insight is appreciated.

The draft of a chimney is determined by how well it is built and how tall it is. Typically you want your chimney to be no less then 15' tall (that is from the floor of the fireplace/stove to the top of the chimney). my stove comes off the back and into the chimney. There is only about 12" worth of pipe till it goes into the chimney, it works great!

Mine goes out the top of the stove, straight up about 9ft, turns about 45 deg towards horizontal, goes through the wall, and spews smoke into the world. Seems to draw really well.

The only problem with going straight out the back is if you change Wood stoves and the new Wood stove is taller or exits out the top then you won't be able to tie it in. Would put the hole at about 5'. That also gives you some pipe to put a damper in as well.
