Big day, nervous as crap

I had a hard time convincing her I needed a blazer, her big argument was "theres no where to go wheeling around our house" and "you have no one to go with" lol. I have to admit she is right on both points as all of my friends are into the drag racing world, and all the local places have been shut down.

her argument is weak. There are plenty of people in your area that wheel responsibly and there are a ton of places to wheel. UNF, DPG, Flats, Big Dogs, and many, many more :D

Nonsense, you got plenty people on here that would probably go wheeling with you!

Get it will you can. My fiancé is pretty irritated right now because my "cheap weekend axle swap" started 3 weeks ago and is now over double my projected budget. Says the jeep needs to get to its next stage and left alone for a while.

Unless you've combined finances already why does a fiancee have any say?

Sent while I should have been doing something constructive...

Well as of this week our finances will be combined. She wasn't making a huge deal over it, mostly pointing out that I said it would take one weekend and a few hundred dollars. But then I decide to upgrade a few other things and you know how that goes lol.

^^^My wife says the same thing about my Land Rover.

I promised her it would be up and running (and painted) by the end of the year. Well, its not even close. It has more rust than I anticipated and is more work than anticipated because I don't know this vehicle and am learning as I go. That's how it goes. I just let her pick out the color of the Rover and she is good (for now)!

At least its not on jackstands in the driveway........................... yet.

Hey all, just looking through the old stuff and here's an update. We are still married ( I'm not sure how she has handled me for this long lol). We have a beautiful 3 year old daughter now and she loves to go on rides in the TJ. Glad to find this old thread. Awesome advise guys and still using it all the time.

Marriage is 90% decision and only 10% emotion. Glad you are doing well!

Congrats and condolences! ;) Getting hitched was the best decision I've ever made, even if most days the wife drives me up the wall.

As was said, communication is key. Also, if she makes you at least think twice before being stupid, she's a keeper.
