Big Michelins

I doubt you'll get any flex out of them. Those and most of the sizes listed on the ebay posting are for high pressure truck tires. The ones I had on my Mog (14.5R20) were a flotation tire that ran at lower pressures and had a bit more flex in the sidewall. I don't know what kind of compound they use. Mine were retreads and the compound was rock hard. No grip on rocks unless a lug caught a rock edge.
 
You can cut the sidewalls up and they'll work like mad for a couple days before they fall apart, ain't that right Chris:flipoff2:
 
I also posted this because they are down in Fayetteville and thought someone might be interested in them. BigWoody is right, it wouldn't be beneficial to put these on a lightweight rig. I ran these tires on a 5 ton LMTV in the army and they did fine at low pressure in sand but I didn't do any rock crawling:lol:. Although, if I was running rockwells and a healthy V8 in my CUCV I would get them in a heartbeat. Of course they wouldn't be as good as 49in Iroks but they are less than a 1/4 of the price. I think if you ran them at super low psi on a heavy fullsize rig they would do fine for trailriding.

Remember the Jeep that took 1st place at TTC 2006? Maybe it was just the sheer size of his tires that gave him the win.

but there was a thread on pirate where he was talkin bout gettin 49 IROCs after the competition, because of how much better they do...

i think he also said that durin the competition the only way he got them to do what they did was ecause he was runnin 0-2 psi in them

Anyone see a problem with running them at 0 psi on a beadlock? Think they will they flop around like a Swamper on say a 7000lb truck? If not, that would make life easier never having to check the air pressure. These tires would work great on the street too.

Do yall think the Michelins will flex less than my Ground Hawgs lol. I'm gonna take the air outta them and see what they do.
 
A tire can wrap around a rock all day long. But if the rubber is hard like those Michelin's, they still won't grab a damn thing.
 
those tires dont bulge out when aired down like normal off road tires . they whole damn sidewall falls over
 
792.5cj5 on here runs them on his rig. Probably the best guy on here to ask them about, since he actually runs them on a medium weight rig.
