What does everyone think abot this? I think it would be a good idea, and would fit my engine well, but just wanted to see what everyone things.

Building an LQ9 for my 98 TA.

Stock block/rods/crank
.02 bore, Speed Pro hypereutectic pistons
Futral F13 cam - 230"/232" .595"/.585" 114LSA - aggressive profile with a 2500-6800 RPM rangeDouble valve springs
LS6 oil pump
Billet double roller timing chain
Typhoon LS6 intake
SVO red tops (36lb on LS1 fuel system)
Ported and polished TB
150 wet shot nitrous

Right now we have stock valves in stock LQ9 heads. Obviously we aren't going to keep this.

I want to buy new valves, but should I buy new stock 2.00/1.55 valves and have the heads worked over, or go with some 2.08/1.60 valves and have the heads worked over? The head work is already paid for, so only cost to me would be the valves.

Heads will be ported, cleaned, 3-angled, all the good stuff.

Do you have to run stock heads? L92s would be the direction I would go. Valves aren't cheap, you can buy a set of l92 take offs for under $600.

Travis probably needed his for a same night rebuild and paid what the man asked... :D
