Biggest crash in NASCAR history

Cool video. Those guys would still be going well under 200mph if it weren't for aerodynamics.

I have never seen that video, that is when it was really "stock" car racing! Cool vid, thanks for posting it up.

They really need to roll back some of the progress that's been made, and get back to real cars doing some real racing.

The speeds don't have to be progressively faster to make the racing good. They could keep the safety improvements, and still use some real bodies on the cars, rather than all using the same body that's painted to look like whatever car it's supposed to be.
Might as well call them Nascar Funny Cars now. I remember, even back in the early 90's the manufacturers were coming up with cars that were more aerodynamic and they actually had to produce a certain amount of those cars for them to be eligible.

Also remember the Thunderbirds back then weren't competitive, and Nascar allowed them to raise their rear quarters like 4" for more down force. That was some good racing then.

I would watch nascar if it were still like this.

well, they might have to throw in a few more right turns as well.....

I agree. I really don't even like the Superspeedway races because they are so fast. Give me a good short track with some good side by side racing, they can keep their 200mph + tracks.

Nascar now is a glorified version of IROC. Same car, same equipment, drivers from various back grounds....

There is a reason the Busch/Nationwide series is going to Camaros/Mustangs/Challengers next year.

Give it a few years, I think we aare headed back the right way.

It's going to take more than a few years. Chevy already said they won't run the Camaro because they can't get it to fit within the COT specs and still look like a Camaro. That's the same reason the COT Mustang looks retarded.

I have been to several tracks and stood by the fence to ''feel'' the power.
When they come by at Charlotte, it is awsome, to say the least,BUTwhen 43 racecars running nose to tale , roar past you at Daytona, going 200mph....thats an energy that I just cant explain. Just pure awsomeness.
