Are there any pool players on here? If so, where do you play and what cue do you shoot with? I am an avid pool player who has lost touch with his roots and is getting back in to it.

That's where I got my spending money in college. But that was 25 years ago. Haven't touched it at all in 5 years now.

I shoot every tuesday night, no I play and they shoot. The guy I play is 83 years and he calls it giving lessons!

I shoot about 2 or 3 times a week at a place called Badfish here in Matthews. I shoot with a 18 oz house stick, wont buy one for a while until I need one.

I have a table, but I never use it.

Alex let's shoot some time! Anybody else?

I don't shoot as much as I use too, all the good places around High Point are gone. I've still got my Lucasi cue I use every now an then.

APA

I've played in the APA for years. It's pretty fun but weekly play can start to feel like a chore so I take a season off now and then. If your team wins the regional tournament you get a free trip to Vegas.

This wasn't meant to be an ad for the APA, but that's the only pool shooting I've done in years. After playing and keeping score year after year just knocking the balls around for the heck of it loses it's appeal.

I never played any league play, or tournament play either for that matter. I have always been more of the bar room brawler, or road player if thats what you wanna call it. I never cared for playing a scheduled match a few imes a week to try for a trip to Vegas. I always liked the money it put into my pocket. Then I had children. Now I think the tips on all of my cues are growing mold! lol
I am still authorized dealer of most brands of cues though, so I keep my friends and family in new sticks all of the time. Custom cues are nice, but I prefer Joss or Viking for the money. There are better cues on the market, but these are reasonable priced.

I used to shoot everyday in college. I drank alot of beer and wheeled alot off the money I made. I have gotten out of it since then as there are no friends of mine around here that will go shoot with me. Not that good they are just not interested or have the time. I still carry a (am sure is misspelled) Meucci five prong and a McDurmott sneaky pete.

I love to shoot pool, but I've never really been good enough to make any money doing it.

I was a regular most every night at Don's pool room in downtown Greensboro, he shut donw years ago and I bought my own table. It's just never as much fun shooting at home, sold the table and only do bar shooting now.

i use to play every day never was any good i was ok i guess i liked snooker and keno for a little money the place i use to go to closed down and is now a hamburger joint i met my girlfriend there she didnt hang out there or anything she showed up with a friend who liked my buddy one day and we have been dating ever since thats been 7 years ago

I met my ol lady in my pool hall. When the lottery came out, I had to close it because they outlawed poker machines at that time and I wasnt making enough money to justify keeping it open. Now poker machines are back, and government regulated. They suck!
