Birfields

I am unsure I understand what a birfield is. I have 5.29 locked front and rear with 38.5 boggers with a 3.0 V6 in a 4runner am I going to have trouble out of stock birfields?

What year runner? if it is stock drivetrain, i believe a 3.0 only came in the IFS years, so you should have IFS, which has no birfields, and in my opinion, will NOT hilld up to 38.5s

If you have had a solid front axle swapped in, a birfeild is the joint which does the job of the steering u-joints in a more typical front steerign axle, but they look rather different

yea it is a 90 4runner bobbed, with SAS kit. I was the one for sale by 8 rock crawler the prang black with the exo cage and the back cut off...You can do a search on 90 4runner buddy and you will see it....4 sale for 7500.00 Will this be my weak link? If so what would I upgrade too.

longfields only on anything above 35's if doing anymore than very mild wheeling.

What do long fields cost. I'm not sure where they are located are they in the diff...I know he spent 900.00 on drive shafts and axles so do you think he new what he was doing?

Yeah, it's got stockers, look into 30 spline longs and hub gears while your at it. Honestly, I think you could get away with the 27 spline longs if your not going any bigger.
