We had another committee meeting tonight.

Next week the park board will be voting on a few things.

here is a few of them.

31 day permit $20.00
1 year permit (1 vehicle) $35.00
1 year multi vehicle(only one on the park at same time) $40.00
1 year family household permit ( each vehicle has to have a permit)
1st$35.00
2nd$25.00
$20.00 for each additional vehicle.

As of now their WILL NOT be a charge for passengers.

From some of your request we looked at a need for a lifetime permit.
will know more about this next week but I think the charge for this will be
$400.00 and this will only be a multi vehicle permit. which means only one vehicle you list can be on the park at one time.

Any questions and comments welcome.
These are not facts just some things we discussed.

We will have a 25 year lease on the table within the next few weeks. More trails will be coming.
Your Turn is a legal trail and will be on the map now.
New maps will be out soon.

 Has anyone made it out the exit to the right up that 4' verticle ledge? I've seen several try and not have any luck :)
if we are talking about the same trail...then yes..I made it once after several hours of trying and a half dozen broken rigs littering the trail.

It all sounds very fair to me. Harlan is worth the $ to ride. I'd have been happy to pay before if I knew who to give the money to.

New maps will be great also.

If/when this gets accepted, be sure to let everyone know where/who to pay for passes.

<----Still like me some Lion's Den.

I think the costs listed are fair. Not sure I understand the idea behind the 31 day pass? I assume it takes the place of a day pass and allows a weekend ride for those one time visitors? If I understand correctly, the lifetime pass would cover, say, 3 vehicles, only one of which you could use at a time? I think that there should NOT be a passenger charge as this would lead to too many violaters and enforcement issues. I would be for higher vehicle use fees rather than passenger charges. I'm not on the BOD, just wondering .....are there any plans for vehicle fee enforcement, ie gates, booths, etc and what will the millions of $ in user fees be spent on, park improvements or BOD junkets? :) I applaud to effort of those involved like Ronnie, George, Ken, Grant and all those I don't know. You guys are to be commended for your work!

The pricing sounds fair. Please, I hope you keep it per rig, not per passenger like Windrock.
A question I have is about the multi vehicle and single vehicle passes.
Let's say I own a rig, I sell it, and buy/build another, will this permit be transferable?

I am hoping the moneys made from this will a few things like trail markings, and as you said the maps.

The town of Evarts has been very good to me while there. I spoke to Debbie, the lady who takes the money for the camping lots. She said that they were considering doing away with the Cable TV hook ups. That's fine with me. We suggested that they look into getting an INTERNET system. If you have any pull with these folks , please suggest it again. It would cost a lot less that cable TV.

I look forward to the making of a great place to wheel even better!

Wireless internet would be much nicer than cable TV.

While $400 for lifetime is fair, I will pay $35 per year. I wonder if I will still be in the sport or the park will still be open in 10 years. For $250 for lifetime I'd pony up as the risk would be worth it to me.

How about an intorductory offer on the lifetime deal? Maybe $250 for the first 100 people so you get quick cash, then raise it to $400 after that?

fees are reasonable - will be signing up for the annual $35 deal.

Wireless internet is my #1 concern when traveling (I teach online courses, must have good access. I have a Verizion broadband card but it has to have good cell phone reception)

Hot Showers are my 2nd concern...

Good place to eat biscuits (and preferably grab some grilled cheese baloney sandwiches for lunch on the trail) is my 3rd concern...

Finally a place for supper - I am not much on cooking my own, would rather spend my cash in your town. (By the way on these items - they need to take debit card or have a ATM durn handy)

Just my .02...glad to see this all coming together, hoping to be up there this fall!!

Yep, driving from Evarts to Harlan to make a cell phone call is a pain in the arse. I take a couple of different phones and still have no luck with reception. I was talking with you during TTORA Takeover last year as you were trying to help me lay out some runs and your phone rang. I was jealous as Hell.

There is a cell tower now, visible from the camp ground behind Dairy Hut.
Not sure of who it is, but I know it's not ATnT. We had someone in our group that got service, but not sure who she had as a carrier.

Just out of idle curiosity has anything thing changed or been done about the locals and the five finger discount some of them are (in)famous for?

Those occurances seem to be fairly rare. I've been there a handful of times and have had no problems. Lock your shit up or don't expect it to be there when you get back. It's the same as anywhere else.

I'm gonna try and answer the best I can.

first the multi or single pass will be transferable to another vehicle if you sell it. You would need to contact visitor center or tourism office to do this. (we will have a park visitor center sometime in the future)

monies made will be spent from permit money will be spent on upkeep, enforcement(manditory on the 25 year lease),
markings, NEW TRAILS, maintain trails, Lease itself.

The fee will only be for the Vehicle and not the passenger!!!!

I think lifetime is fair at $400.00 bucks.

Sometime over the next year or two we will have parking on the park. Possibly rv sites. A little birdy told me their might even be some awesome cabins too.

Guys their is so much planned to make this place better that I cant post all them.

Here is an update.

Me and Ken scouted some trails today.

We found some stuff that big perm will be jealous of. And this spot will have maybe three or four of them and 3 or four times as long. each will be extreme but doable.
more to come.

We also found another section near this that is kind of like middle rock garden. We will be going back and scouting some more within the next few weeks. this would be a great time to have more peoples input that looks at this stuff if somebody wants to come.
