Had to replace the clutch this weekend in the Jeep. Got everything back together but no pressure in the clutch. I went looking for the bleeder valve to bleed the clutch but there isnt one. I saw online where a guy said you have to pump the stem in slave cylinder to bleed the clutch. Does this sound right? Thanks for the help guys..need to get this thing up and running.

The master/slave on that one is a sealed system. Unless you blew the slave cylinder it should not be causing your issue. I would check to make sure the clutch is installed correctly. I have never had to bleed one of those and if you have a problem with one you have to buy the whole unit. They come ready to run.

When I was putting the new clutch in the stem and rubber seal around the end popped off the slave cylinder. Now when I press the clutch in slow, air bubbles are visible from the master cylinder but does not appear to be leaking fluid anywhere.

it is a self bleeding system, but it will take ALOT of pumps to get it done. I first remove the slave, and manually press the rod in and let if push out, like 40-50 times, then pump the pedal a bunch, then let it sit overnight and Walla! nice clutch pedal. I cheaped out and only replaced the slave, I fugured if the slave is avail separately, then the need to buy a $300 dealer complete sealed setup must be bogus. 6 months later and i still have a great clutch

Perfect Chris that is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thanks!

So am I understanding correctly I just push the stem in which in turn presses the piston down and then let it just come back out? I am going to do this until I don't see air bubbles coming up in the master cylinder anymore.

Thanks for the help guys  That worked like a charm got nice pressure on the clutch now. :driver:

First time I tried it, I was like F%$# i just wasted my time and money, and everyone will say "I told you to buy the complete setup". Next moring, good firm pedal
