Just to help anyone else looking... NC Classic Restorations in Fuquay can do this kind of work. It turns out mine was way past the point of repair though.

It does suck I had been looking at a used fiberglass tub and this motivated me to buy it. I really wanted to keep the original steel but at 3k for repairs, a 450 dollar used tube was a no-brainer. On a positive note, I went home and fired up the rebuilt engine for the first time. THAT was motivational.
 
There was a fiberglass tube somewhere in Virginia a month ago.

Even the new stuff from Asia needs body work. Has some ripples and goose shit plug welds
