Body found in Uwharrie

A Sad note, but a teenager that had been missing from Charlotte since Oct.9, was found by a Hiker, Friday, the 13th. somewhere in the National Forest. The 16 year old was a Leader of his Scout troop, but missed his last meeting, & went missing. He played Rugby & Football, & had received a concussion several weeks back. He was having sever problems with the injury. No other details have been released. I suppose he was familiar with Uwharrie, thru the Scouts. Suicide is suspected. Sorry for the loss!

It was reported today, he was found on the UNF Trail, off NC 24/27, outside of Troy. His Scout Troop has hiked there before. Local hunter found him.

Me too. My son is dealing with some behavioral / medical problems right now and I hope he never considers something like this. He is only 8 but some of the stuff he says and does makes me think he is ahead of his time.

Hate to hear about this kind of stuff. Lost a step daughter to leukemia when she was 20. Thoughts and prayers always go out to family who loose children. It's not supposed to happen that way.
