Got the excursion back after month and week at body shop but pissed asked to save my bumpers and they trashed them. Front bumper was great shape just small dent in it. Was planning on selling it for wedding money

Better question, how did you come up with a wedding that was only going to cost $300!!????:flipoff2:

On a serious note, I would just write it off as a learning experience!. You obviously will not get your bumper back and they certainly will not feel the value of a damaged bumper is $300.....

Needs to be in writing, either on the work order or your customer file or whatever, else you're just rolling the dice. If they had the truck that long, and you told them on the second day, it got completely forgotten and there was no written note for someone to look at.

Someone there is saying "You wanted us to keep the bumper? Where does it say that on the work order?".... And that's where it breaks down.

It's a shitty situation, but there's no really clear placement of blame here.

Especially if told on the SECOND day - not the FIRST.
I'm assuming this means you went back to them, or called them up or something, after the order had already been placed.

It sucks, but you didn't follow through to make sure it would be done.
