soooo I hit a car the other day in a parking lot, I hardly did any damage to the car, a few scratches, one a little over a foot long. And I maybe pushed the bumper in a 1/4". So the girl gets an estimate back at $676.40. That price seems a bit steep to me. Instead of typing all of this stuff I just took some pics for yall to look at.

2003 Cavalier LS 2.2 4 door FYI

Doesn't seem bad to me, break it down, that's a cheap body shop at $32.00 an hour. Lot's of prep in a quality paint job.

Maybe I'm off base, but I don't think that's too high at all.

Yeah, sounds about right to me.

Cyd got rearended in the old Explorer. Tweaked the bumper a bit. Repair bill was $1600.

yeah, if a body shop even has to sneeze on something it's gonna be $500+. doesn't sound too bad in the scheme of things. you're well within your rights to ask her to get a second estimate for comparison though.

$676.40 now one time, or ADD that to your current insurance premium EVERY 6mo for the next 3 years, your choice.

leaving the sciene, and you think this is expensive, heh heh heh, try that once

No shit we start at $43 on ins. jobs and $35 on cash. And it will fluctate depending on the persons behavior :D
