Can I back the helicoil out some how? It's the bolt that holds the speed sensor in the 10.25 rear end on my truck. I need to know asap so I can figure out how I'm getting to work tomorrow morning!

I guess the bolt broke when you tried to back it out?

If the bolt snapped b/c you overtightened it or something, lefthanded drill bit would walk it right out.

Or drill it all out and retap it to a larger size. IIRC, that bolt is pretty small.

Bolt broke when I was tightening the sensor back down. A dealership in Morehead City installed the helicoil about four years ago when I had a seal blow out with no tools on me. Speedo ticked at highway speeds after that and decided to finally do something about it today. It didn't even feel that tight when the damn thing broke either.
I'm pretty sure every thing I have ended up tackling on this truck has turned into some big fiasco

Reverse drill set and easy out purchase tomorrow...
