It had all 5 plows on it, and the lift was stuck. Surprisingly none of the bolts were stuck.

...plus I'm a '66 fan boy - had to sell mine when I had C. Always looking out/for them

Is the truck 3 or 4 speed? What motor?
I would guess a 3 speed. It looks to have been a three on the tree that was converted to a three on the floor. Looks like the same shifter I used in my 68 F100 way back in the day.

It might be worth to look at the trans to see if tit has 2 shifting rods or 3 shifting rods on the trans. If it has 3 shifting rods it will be a 4 speed and the trans alone would be worth more than $500.People put 4 speeds behind 6 cyl. all the time.

But would it have been on the column if it was a 4 speed???

It might came from the factory with it on the column. But someone changed it to a floor shifter it is very possible they changed to a 4 speed transmission also. I have changed several old cars over to 4 speeds over the years that was factory 3 speeds.
