I've had 2 old Jeepsters and I've always wanted a Wrangler. This baby was sitting across the street from me at work and I got tired of looking at her so I bought her. I LOVE this truck. But I have NO idea what I have. Its a 2004 Wrangler Sport. Low miles. Mud CAKED on the underside (still!!) so it looks like it wasn't a DD. She's my DD.
I mean, I know its lifted, I know it has big tires, and cool lights that blind my friends, but can I go anywhere with her? Is this thing ready to off-road or do I just have a pretty jeep? Anyone live in Raleigh and wanna tell me what I've got in exchange for a few beers? I'm so clueless. embarrassed -- lisa

Looks stock except for the light bar and some rocker protection. Maybe a little budget boost. Or maybe i just can't tell

And wash the mud off, it'll rust and destroy everything

My wife said you have a pretty jeep.

maybe a bad pic. wrong angle. i sell cars (not jeeps tho) and I know its not a stock "sport."

what size tires? that will give us an idea...

can you see any "color" in the suspension? i.e. different springs, shocks, spacers? (stock stuff would all be black)...

Greg

Like was said, it looks stock height, with maybe a 30" tire.
Lights and light bar are aftermarket.

Can you take it anywhere?
Definitely. A stock, or near stock Jeep can go places you wouldn't believe.

Now lets see some pics of the Jeepsters.

If you want to bring it down my shop I can take a look at it and tell you what its got - just let me know if I can help.

Look Stock with a mild lift ~2"
maybe 32" tires

depending on what kind of 4 wheeling you want to do it might be just fine or you might want to add some things if it does not already have them. i.e. Front and rear lockers, winch....

The light bar looks good for the street and yes it does blind your friends, but try running them down a dusty road at night and you will be blinding yourself.

I would say follow some people from here out to URE and see how it does. Then modify it to fit you off road needs.

you can also Check Out www.cnc4x4.org if you are interested in a club.

No, you need to restrain yourself to Designated Roads and Trails! If you go "anywhere" that you want, you may find yourself in trouble with the law & some people on here peeved at you.

Know where the Legal Public Wheeling Spots are and stick to those or to Private land that you've been invited on to.

Oh, and sorry, but it looks pretty well stock in that pict.

No Silly, its a Jeep.
If you really wanna "go anywhere" you are going to need a big boy 4wd :flipoff2:

(Sorry random swing at all the Jeepers, its a habit)

Now a few more points.
#1 Its a Jeep, not a truck. You will save yourself much ridicule if you remember that. A friend once told my Grandad his Jeep was a truck, granpa laughed and tossed a shovel full of manure in the backseat, "Good I needed to haul that off, since its a truck you can do that, right?"

#2 It does look stock, maybe its a bad angle, but I cant see more than a BB 1-2" max

#3 Don't be embarassed, driving around in a Jeep and knowing absolutely nothing about it, makes you exactly like 90% of the guys riding around in Jeeps, just more attractive
