Bourbon

Really goood bottle. Worth at least $125

I would go $80-$90, ok fine $100 but not more than that. It's my favorite but you gotta draw the line.
I agree at $100 its a buy for me.

Ive got a drink or two left and then a back up ETL...I keep an eye out, but the stupid $3-400 prices is crazy.

ETL hits a cherry or maybe even grape note to me, that I typically wouldnt describe as my ideal profile, but something about it is just different that I really like.

You found Stagg at BT gift shop?
Lucky bastid.
We were three of the first 30 in line that morning. They apparently have some days where they allow varying allocated bottle purchases for the first however many people? We were running to get everything and make our flight in Lexington.

Been a good week to be a bourbon hound.

Picked these up Tuesday

Then stopped to grab some Halloween trick or treat give outs…

My fave local had a 4R store pick. That’s 10+ years old and a bottle whose message I always support.
Then I noticed something behind the counter. A good friend told me once…any time you see a purple top i want it. This one is 12 years old as well so….

I have been in the gift shop, didn't do a tour, but WIllet is across the street and Bardstown is nearby also. If you are there I'd make time to stop in at both.

Many of the tours are similar depending on what you chose or what they offer. The basic tour typically is here's our mash, this is our column still (or Pot for smaller ones), this is our rick house, here are 4 of our products to taste. Oh and mash bill has to be 51% corn aged in new white oak barrels.......ETC.
But Evan Williams did offer some allocated items that you couldn't buy, because we did the tour, (no tour no opportunity) so maybe HH will too? The tour is how I ended up buying two bottles of the EW 12 year that they sell to Japan. In a bottle with labels all in engrish. :( EW is in Louisville along with about 5 other distillers all in walking distance.

I thought I'd hit EW for sure. Because I only have 1 day, I'm doing HH at lunch then driving up to Lousiville to see what else I can see/do before the sun goes down.

HH is known to place easter eggs in the gift shop.
Gotta look pretty close.

If you are anywhere near charlotte you should go to this event.
About 50ppl in line already but there is way more allocated bourbon than you could dream of so even if you are 400th in line, it’s worth it to go tomorrow early morning.
