Bourbon

3 horses followed me home today

Bourbon thread is too quiet,
April has been a fruitful hunting month.
A trip to Texas netted a King Ranch(plus 4 for friends)…and Bt is everywhere.
Then a friend back home broke my all time record for most paid for a bottle. $400 for one bottle of booze is steep. But…I hope worth it will crack soon,

Then local store had a lottery and got 3 good bottles.

If you need help drinking it...

Picked up a couple bottles while in chattanooga.
Chattanooga straight bourbon whiskey call strength
Redwood empire pipe dream (was on sale and pretty cheap)
Bakers 7 single barrel

When i was checking out with the bakers the delivery truck rolled in with a case of eagle rare 12 and a case of well special reserve. Lady asked if I wanted a bottle of either but I passed.

You fumbled the shit out of that one, chief.

Today’s haul

EHTaylor small batch
Wild Turkey 8 yr
Penelope Riviera
Jack 14 yr
Elijah Craig 15 yr
3 Blantons

The Blantons are for some friends that wanted one. VA had a spiritpolooza yesterday, today and Saturday.
I’d spend too much money on that Jack 14…it’s been unobtanium for me

Had the opportunity to tag along on a trip to KY recently, and join in on the "Beam private barrel club selection experience" with 5 other guys:

"Join us at the James B. Beam Distilling CO. for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to select your own private barrel of Knob Creek®.

Your journey begins with a personalized tour of the Fred B. Noe Distillery, where you'll gain insights into the 8 generations of quality and craftsmanship that have shaped the Beam family's legacy.

The highlight of your experience is the barrel selection process. Guided by our legacy ambassadors, you'll sample several barrels, each with its distinctive flavor profile. After sampling, you'll choose the barrel that best aligns with your desired flavor profile, creating a truly one-of-a-kind bourbon.

To complete your day, enjoy a curated lunch at The Kitchen Table, where our chefs have crafted a menu of Kentucky-inspired cuisine that pairs perfectly pairs with our Beam-Made Bourbons.

Private Knob Creek Single barrel selection experience:

Private single barrel selection experience, where your group will have the opportunity to sample from three distinctly unique barrels
Behind-the-scenes tour of the James B. Beam Distilling Co. campus, featuring the Fred B. Noe Distillery and Warehouse K.
Curated Kentucky-inspired lunch and cocktails from The Kitchen Table"

It was great!
