Passing this along. Please read this link if you do any welding at all. It seems like the only stuff that can do this is the chlorinated brake cleaners.

Well, yeah, that much is obvious, but from what he was saying there isn't really anything they can do for you anyway. It's clearly one of those situations where an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

i was at the parts store the other day and saw some 'new' non-chlorinated brake kleen. word must have spread fast. i was wondering what the difference was, and now i know.
