Brake light switch

Any one have experience replacing the brake light switch on a 1995 K2500? I can't get the clip off to remove the switch. Any tricks that might help me out?

its a pain to do...... patience is the only help i can offer, lol. Seems like i did use a long pair of angled needle nose pliers, helped some but still not easy.

I've had luck picking a skinny flat screwdriver at that clip before. I've also mangled the hell out of them too, lol. Good news is my local dealer stocks them, yours may too, so don't worry if it bends. It'll go on way easier than it came off though.
