so ive got a 2000 cherokee with about 7 inches of lift and 33s. My brakes have a very obnoxiously loud squeak from the front as im coming to a stop, but they dont do it when im braking at higher speeds. i got every brake component replaced about 2 years ago and last week i took it to 2 different shops to get a brake diagnostic done and they said my rotors and pads were almost perfect and nothing was warped. well i went and bought the akebono super premium brake pads from carquest and got them installed but it sounds litterally the exact same....
any ideas????maybe its something other than the brakes???? PLEASE HELP!

i doubt it be you u-joints, when were they last replaced?
even tho they haveno role with the brakes, they still are a spinning componet

honestly i have never replaced my u-joints and ive had the jeep for like 4 years...would that be something that would cause a noise like that? it not only squeeks bad but has almost a moaning sound in like 2 second intervals from like 15 MPH until i stop (like when coming to a stop sign).....

i doubt it would be those. ive sprayed mine with some kind of "no squeek" spray and it helped mine. have you tried changinge you braking habit. like lighted your foot or even hit them harder.?

it only does it when the breaks are applied? have you tried 4wd? and braking in 4wd?

found out it was my rear brakes when my brother came home from driving me jeep (i guess its harder than i thought to tell where a squeak is coming from unless you hear it from outside)
anyways i had a hairline crack in my rear drum that was making the squeaking sound..not too sure how it got there but its all fixed now...thanks for the input though!
