I have a question about the brakes on my Jeep. I was pulling into my driveway earlier tonight and when I went to hit my brakes(i was going about 2-3mph) and I went to completely stop the Jeep and it made a loud rubbing noise and the jeep vibrated pretty bad...What the hell could this be? It hasn't done this before i don't know why it did it.

Might need more in depth explanation, front/back?

4 wheel disc? rear drum? last time brakes where changed? mileage?

I don't think I would drive it until you take the tires off to see what the problem is. If it is that noticeable then it will be pretty easy to see what is wrong, with the tires off.

I don't know if this will help any but I pulled the right front tire off to paint it the wheel black with spray paint. When I went to take the tire off the lug nuts were pretty loose and I was like wtf why are they so loose. Well anyway I sprayed the wheel and I put it back on and I made sure to tighten up the lug nuts. It was fine before I did this it didn't do the vibrating or anything and then when I took it up the road and came back to my house it did that. Could I have maybe overtightened the lugs nuts? That's the only thing I can think of.

I would probably check the brake backing plate. You can probably just crawl up under the truck and see if something is scrubbing against the wheel.

check the rotors and pads. If the rotor is not smooth, replace it, if the rotors are bad chances are the pads are gonna be bad to, depending on how long the rotor has been shot.
