Got the Tymar filter yesterday, but the piece of SS tube I scavenged out of the exhaust system I bought was too short, so I went to work today and TIG welded a piece on to make it longer. Did the CCV mod and just clamped it to the factory intake hose. Basically I have $30 in the filter, and $5+/- in the tube.
I bought the exhaust system with a silverline muffler for $50, welded what I could use of it together, welded a short piece of 4" to the factory pipe, then clamped the muffler to that. The muffler and 2.5' behind it are TIG welded together, to keep from buying a $12 clamp.
I am pleased with the tone, not too loud but I can hear it if I want, and it sound better than just having a straight pipe (some sound kind of sick).

Im guessing this is a PSD?

Im running straight pipes on mine and it sounds sweet, its really not any louder at idle than it was before, but MAAAN the turbo sounds sooo sweet now when you're goin! I always get a grin on my face when I pass a building and the sound reverberates off a wall.

How well did everything go with Tymar? I've heard they're great, I want to use them for my upgrades but Im not sure if I want to try and find a '99+ PSD now.
